Sidi Bou Said back in 2015

Image
Beautiful view but we did not stay there. We went higher to have a better view of the port at sunset. I highly recommend visiting this magical place.

breathtaking sceneries

Image
I went for my first canoe camping this weekend and it was amazing. I really enjoyed the canoeing and the sceneries. No wonder the aboriginal people were using canoes to travel around this vast country. There are so many lakes, rivers, and waterfalls and I have only seen a little bit of it so far. I was away from internet and phone for the past two days. The only sound I heard was the bullfrog, our neighbour in the camp site, and the loon. My back and arms are sore because of paddling, I have thousands of mosquito bits, and a little bit of sunburn. When you are a novice camper, these things happen; you just need to do it more often.

This is another set of photos for The Doors Project.

Tips for traveling!

This is an interesting read. Tips for traveling by Paulo Coelho. I got the Alchemist from the library yesterday. I have read it while ago in Farsi when I was in Iran. I think it is time to read it again. This book will be a very nice companion for me during my trip.

My Escape to the Nature

Image
Sept 2010, Wingfield Basin, view of Georgian Bay , ON, Canada  How does it feel when your living room is a white stone beach for a couple of hours? and when the TV shows the view of a lake in a large screen? Here, in Wingfield Basin, Ontario, visitors come and go and the creative ones leave behind a furniture set. Next visitor can stop here for couple of hours and enjoy the view and the sound of the waves.  I just got back from a weekend trip. I visited Tobermory, Ontario and surrounded area. I recommend this trip to everyone, specially those of you who live in Ontario.

Viva Barcelona!

Image
The Sagrada Familia viewed from Casa Mila, Barcelona, Spain It is the last day of January already but I am ready to publish a new post on my wish list travel destinations . Nothing is better than traveling but what makes traveling memorable is the companionship and your fellow travelers. As much as I enjoy my independence and solitude (sometimes), I do not enjoy traveling by myself. I have done that already and it is no fun because I want to share the good times with good friends and people I love. I started thinking about traveling to Barcelona when a friend told me about this amazing city. What will make this trip even more exciting and special is that she suggested we should go together. I can't stop dreaming. p.s. Never under estimate the power of written dreams!

Cinque Terre

Image
Vernazza, the photo from here . I need the distraction. I need a dream again. I am longing for a place where I have the view of mountains, ocean, and greens... where I can breathe and relax. It is  nearly the last day of the month and I have to pick another destination for my travel journal. This month, the last month of the year, I am going with "the Five Lands", the five delightful villages in Italy, along the cost, and part of UNESCO World Heritage Site. It seems a good idea to dream of a sunny and warm place for your next trip when you are cold. I close my eyes and  I pray. I pray for a better and happier year for my family, for my siblings, and a blissful 2010 for everyone. May peace reach your hearts and your minds and stay there.

Hallstatt

Traveling has always been a passion of mine. Starting today, the last day of each month, I'm going to post a picture of a place that I want to visit someday. It will be sort of my travel wish list. For the month of November, it will be Hallstatt, Austria. Photo by Nick Csakany
