I was very excited about listing to her. When I bought the ticket, I told to myself that was an early birthday present for me. I went for the talk to be inspired and to figure out why this woman was so successful as she was. Although I never regret going to that talk (since I learned one or two things), the talk was not as inspiring as I hoped. I had heard better talks before. She is not one of those people that I call gifted public speakers. She was witty and smart but didn’t really do it for me. However, what I learned was that I can be a rainbow in someone’s cloud. I'm not sure when we will understand anything that can bring us happiness is not small :-)
Your point well taken! I understand what you mean and I totally agree with you. What I was trying to say was that most of the time, we are waiting for that big break, a big surprise, or we have to conquer the world in order to consider that a success. However, small joys are happening everyday and we should enjoy them. This was a mental note to me that I should not take anything for granted.
