Lately, I'm in the mood for Bob Marley’s songs.

I had such a busy week, starting from last Friday. For the first time in my schooldays, I sacrificed my study to socialize. It was very enjoyable-some more than the others. Then the reality kicked in. I had to submit two assignments. I realized that I totally underestimate how much time I needed to actually finish one of them. When we were discussing the assignment in the class, my professor, who I really admire for her teaching method, said “this assignment is a gift from me to you guys…”. I didn't know you can be so troubled by a gift. I should send her a thank you note. Also should mention that next time please let me pick my own gift.

Anyway, I should be smarter in my time management. I don't want to miss anymore work and my classes, and then lock myself up in my room for 24 hrs because I'm trying to catch up with my assignments and the projects that are piling up.

It has happened to all of us many times; and at last we have survived...so there is still a hope to make it up and I wish you a great luck on that...

Things that really matter

I remember once when I was in school, couple of friends suggested skipping the class and going to see a movie. Of course the nerd in me couldn't handle the stress of missing a lecture. So I announced that I wouldn't go with them but I would gladly go to class and share my notes with whoever likes to have them later. I don't recall the content of that lecture nor do I recall the course but I never forget that I didn't watch 'the Banu Ordibehesht' with my friends.

I was very excited about listing to her. When I bought the ticket, I told to myself that was an early birthday present for me. I went for the talk to be inspired and to figure out why this woman was so successful as she was. Although I never regret going to that talk (since I learned one or two things), the talk was not as inspiring as I hoped. I had heard better talks before. She is not one of those people that I call gifted public speakers. She was witty and smart but didn’t really do it for me. However, what I learned was that I can be a rainbow in someone’s cloud. Happy Nowruz 1390!!!

Happy Persian New Year, Sal-e noe mobarak! I set my 7-seen table finally this morning. I want everyone to notice my happy mug which contains some wheat cat grass. The one I try to make from lentil, didn't turn out very well since I remembered to start doing it 10 days ago. The weather today was surprisingly amazing. I received some chocolate as eidi (which was a nice surprise too and from someone whom I was trying to be mad at), played squashed with some friends, then went swimming. As I was swimming in the quiet pool, I started thinking that I should be very grateful for this nice facility on campus and should take more advantage of it. I was happy but by the end of the day, I couldn't help it wonder about some stuff in my life. More thinking and analyzing does not help either; Some cry does though. At least I feel better now.
