In the corner of the street

ByWard Market, Ottawa, July 2008

Every time I've seen him, he was drawing a different picture in the same spot. I think every time when he finishes his drawing, he wipes it away to start a new one the next day. I wish the city would hire him. So he would draw on different walls and his beautiful works would stay permanently.

Dear Daisy
you have a very nice place here with great posts, I enjoyed alot!

he thinks if his paintings be there just for a short time people consider them more carefully, Its like each moment of life we experience, If we remember that the moment is not coming back we will enjoy it much more.
best wishes
Halat

Salam Halat
Thanks for the compliment. I'm glad you like my blog.
That was a nice comparison between our moments and his paintings. I had never thought about it this way.

Thanks Parinaz
This man is always sitting in front of an ice-cream shop doing his work. I have seen him many times but this was the first time I decided to take his picture. Recently I'm carrying my camera everywhere I go, I feel like a tourist :)

Salam Shobeir
I think it's a shame that some one as talented as this guy doesn't have a job. I know there were so many great artists that had rough lives and only after they passed they become well-known and their works were appreciated. Why it has to be this way??

Dear Daisy to answer your question I may quote some phases from Shojaedin e shafa in the preface he has written for Comedy of Dante:
گویا طبیعت از آنان که تحمل عظمت و نبوغشان را ندارد به یک نوع و با یک روش انتقام می‌گیرد... فردوسی و دانته حکایت هردوشان حکایت نوشداروست بعد از مرگ
Dante died in exile without being noticed by Florentinians and Ferdosi by Iranians

That was a smart answer. I always felt that these geniuses (in any field) are way ahead of their time. They are being punished because the society is behind and we, people, don't have the ability to understand and appreciate their work.

A while ago I was listening to a speech by James Watson who proposed the first model for DNA structure with his colleague Francis Crick. He said no one accepted this model until 5 years later when the first references to his original article appeared in other scientific reports. Well! you might argue that not all scientists have heard about Bohem Dialogue or they don't have any intention of practicing it either. This might be the reason that new ideas, works, styles and suggestions are being rejected or overlooked.

I'm writing my next post which is about "On Dialogue". I was so impressed that what I was reading was written by a physicist.

Well it's really nice if I can see how others feel about this man...
And I don't know how I may appreciate :D
