I was very excited about listing to her. When I bought the ticket, I told to myself that was an early birthday present for me. I went for the talk to be inspired and to figure out why this woman was so successful as she was. Although I never regret going to that talk (since I learned one or two things), the talk was not as inspiring as I hoped. I had heard better talks before. She is not one of those people that I call gifted public speakers. She was witty and smart but didn’t really do it for me. However, what I learned was that I can be a rainbow in someone’s cloud. Isn't this the best way to finish a book? I enjoyed this last paragraph very much. It was a sweet way to acknowledge and recognize her father for all her success.
I do recommend reading this book. Just give you a heads up; Adrianne Clarkson was a journalist in her early career. She even visited Iran before the revolution to interview Shah. Anyway in her book she talks about Iran and Iranian. I believe she didn't have the chance to know Iran and its people because I didn't agree with her perception about Iranian in general. But it's a good book.
