Happy Halloween

Today I saw the most awesome customs around the campus. But I didn't have my camera with me because I forgot to recharge my batteries. I'm not very happy with myself at this moment. Anyway, this is our small collection of carved pumpkins for this year Halloween. Do not be confused by watermelon and squash. Some of my friends do not like pumpkin. The snowman pumpkin is my design.

Patrick Awuah

I am touched. I was almost in tears as I was watching a talk by Patrick Awuah on “educating a new generation of African leaders”. He talked about the state of leadership in Ghana. He talked about the way he has approached to build an excellent society. As I was listening to him, I was thinking about Iran. I realized the problems that our nation is suffering from are rooted from lack of leadership not only at the political level but most likely at every level of society. The problem is that people are so engaged with the political and economical issues that they do not even think of anything else. I am optimistic now. There is not such thing as mission impossible. This talk may be the answer to how we can transform Iran.

Last week

It was a tough week but it's almost over and I'm looking forward to this long weekend. I had four assignments and one application due for this week. I can't remember the last time I was working this hard. I was basically multi-tasking to get everything done. I didn't start working on them before last Saturday of course. I knew it was my own fault to procrastinate so much that I lost control. It's fairly the beginning of term and I just want to make sure that I do my best. The fact that I don't knew the profs well enough made the assignments harder in the sense that I wasn't sure if I was doing everything right. So I tried to be a perfectionist. I'm happy with the results and proud of myself. I haven't only finished everything on-time but 24 in advance. I was right on schedule. As for the quality of the assignments go, I think I did a fine job. I can be more sure when I see my marks but hoping that everything is going to be fine. I'll manage my t...
