On Love

I realize that this is debatable specially if you are opposed to the philosophy of Buddhism, over acceptance and true lack of selfishness. However, at this moment this is the only thing that calms me down and helps me keep my sanity. I just realized that maybe my definition for philosophy of Buddhism is not that accurate.

Here it is - U live in canada - away from all the nnsens of 3rd wrld. U hav tis opportunity of being abl to mak a lif ther becom a citizen and all.

I really didn’t mean for this post to come as if I am ungrateful for who I am or where I am. I am dealing with some issues in my life and I am trying to choose the best option. I think the post was too abstract for anyone to be able to analyze it. I am a bit careful of what I write here. I know it is anonymous but it is still out there for anyone to read.

Thanks for sharing the quote, I really liked it. I just want to add, we need a source for our love, so we cannot be a giver all the time, we need to receive love too ... this is more difficult and feels very vulnerable to ask for love!

I trust whatever your situation is you will be able to handle it and more importantly learn from it ...

Things that really matter

I remember once when I was in school, couple of friends suggested skipping the class and going to see a movie. Of course the nerd in me couldn't handle the stress of missing a lecture. So I announced that I wouldn't go with them but I would gladly go to class and share my notes with whoever likes to have them later. I don't recall the content of that lecture nor do I recall the course but I never forget that I didn't watch 'the Banu Ordibehesht' with my friends.

I was very excited about listing to her. When I bought the ticket, I told to myself that was an early birthday present for me. I went for the talk to be inspired and to figure out why this woman was so successful as she was. Although I never regret going to that talk (since I learned one or two things), the talk was not as inspiring as I hoped. I had heard better talks before. She is not one of those people that I call gifted public speakers. She was witty and smart but didn’t really do it for me. However, what I learned was that I can be a rainbow in someone’s cloud. Happy Nowruz 1390!!!

Happy Persian New Year, Sal-e noe mobarak! I set my 7-seen table finally this morning. I want everyone to notice my happy mug which contains some wheat cat grass. The one I try to make from lentil, didn't turn out very well since I remembered to start doing it 10 days ago. The weather today was surprisingly amazing. I received some chocolate as eidi (which was a nice surprise too and from someone whom I was trying to be mad at), played squashed with some friends, then went swimming. As I was swimming in the quiet pool, I started thinking that I should be very grateful for this nice facility on campus and should take more advantage of it. I was happy but by the end of the day, I couldn't help it wonder about some stuff in my life. More thinking and analyzing does not help either; Some cry does though. At least I feel better now.
