Oh, just log into meetup.com and search for activities you like in your neighborhood, like walking, going to restaurants, movies, hiking, etc. Join some of those groups and attend their gatherings and before you know it you have many new friends and no time to attend all activities. Also, volunteering for some organizations and helping their cause at your work or school (or your old school as an alumni) or your neighborhood is very satisfying and rewarding. Be it volunteering for breast cancer walk, or raising awareness about global warming, or an upcoming election, etc. Get involved in your communities and you meet new friends in the process who share similar interests to yours.
Do not rush into any important decision so that you do not makes serious mistakes, the rest will be ok, believe me ...
I hear you sister!
@ Hopeful: Thanks a lot. I checked out meetup.com and I will be going to one of those events on spirituality in two weeks.@Lotus: it's scary how you might act when you are desperate. it is good that at this moment I don't need to make any important decisions.@GS:(
