1- My friend Mélanie facebooked me today saying that she was pregnant. That was the best news I could hear today. She has been trying and waiting for this pregnancy for so long. I'm very happy for her. She is one of the best mom I know. she deserves all the happiness...

2- Lately I am listening to this. It is one of my grandpa’s favourite songs. I miss my grandparents specially knowing that my grandma has a bad knee and she is suffering. I am thinking of them...

3- Sometimes stuff happens and I pretend it doesn't matter and doesn't bother me. I smile and walk away. Now I'm sitting here wondering what I did wrong...

Parinaz jon, what should I say. Life is strange; It's not like good old days when relatives used to live in one neighbourhood. People are scattered all over the world. I've missed a lot of moments which I should have shared with my love ones. I missed the weddings of three close high school friends. I missed to be with my cousin when my uncle passed away and ,,,. I know you can't have everything. In order to obtain something you have to miss other things. I only pray that my grandma gets well soon and she doesn’t end up with a surgery.

Things that really matter

I remember once when I was in school, couple of friends suggested skipping the class and going to see a movie. Of course the nerd in me couldn't handle the stress of missing a lecture. So I announced that I wouldn't go with them but I would gladly go to class and share my notes with whoever likes to have them later. I don't recall the content of that lecture nor do I recall the course but I never forget that I didn't watch 'the Banu Ordibehesht' with my friends.

I was very excited about listing to her. When I bought the ticket, I told to myself that was an early birthday present for me. I went for the talk to be inspired and to figure out why this woman was so successful as she was. Although I never regret going to that talk (since I learned one or two things), the talk was not as inspiring as I hoped. I had heard better talks before. She is not one of those people that I call gifted public speakers. She was witty and smart but didn’t really do it for me. However, what I learned was that I can be a rainbow in someone’s cloud. Happy Nowruz 1390!!!

Happy Persian New Year, Sal-e noe mobarak! I set my 7-seen table finally this morning. I want everyone to notice my happy mug which contains some wheat cat grass. The one I try to make from lentil, didn't turn out very well since I remembered to start doing it 10 days ago. The weather today was surprisingly amazing. I received some chocolate as eidi (which was a nice surprise too and from someone whom I was trying to be mad at), played squashed with some friends, then went swimming. As I was swimming in the quiet pool, I started thinking that I should be very grateful for this nice facility on campus and should take more advantage of it. I was happy but by the end of the day, I couldn't help it wonder about some stuff in my life. More thinking and analyzing does not help either; Some cry does though. At least I feel better now.
